Hon. Ajith P. Perera,— To ask the Minister of Sports,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the state institution to which the Bandaragama Public Stadium belongs ;
(ii) of the extent of that stadium?
(b) Will he admit that—
(i) the above mentioned stadium is situated at a place with space and infrastructure facilities, which can be developed for the purpose of holding various sports competitions at national level ;
(ii) it is the only stadium in the Bandaragama Electorate, where a 400m track can be laid?
(c) Will he state separately the amount of money —
(i) allocated by the central government ;
(ii) used out of that amount ;
(iii) allocated by the Western Provincial Council ; and
(iv) used out of that amount ;
for the purpose of developing that stadium in each year from year 2005 upto now?
(d) Will he state —
(i) whether he accepts that priority be given to develop this stadium as no sport cannot be held competitively; and
(ii) if so, the measures that to be taken?
(e) If not, why?
