Hon. (Mrs.) Shanthi Sriskandarasa,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware that Agricultural Tribunals have not been established up to now for finding solutions to problems faced by farmers in the Northern and the Eastern Provinces;
(ii) whether necessary steps have been taken in respect of the matters informed by me through letter dated 04.04.2016 addressed to the Minister of Agriculture and the Commissioner General of Agrarian Services in relation to the above matter;
(iii) if not, the reasons for it; and
(iv) the date on which the Agricultural Tribunals will be established in the Northern and the Eastern Provinces?
(b) If not, why?
