Hon. Nalin Bandara Jayamaha,—To ask the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the percentage of the wastage of power occurring technologically and commercially within the electricity transmission and distribution network of Sri Lanka;
(ii) the measures being taken by the Ceylon Electricity Board to eliminate this wastage;
(iii) the measures being taken by the Lanka Electricity Company (Pvt) Ltd., to minimize this wastage; and
(iv) whether he acknowledges that the power wastage in Sri Lanka is at a higher value in comparison to other countries of the world?
(b) If not, why?
