Hon. Ajith Mannapperuma,—To ask the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy,—
(a) Will he inform this House-
(i) the amount of electricity generated in Sri Lanka using solar power;
(ii) the amount of electricity produced and added to the national grid per day by citizens who have installed solar cells in their homes or commercial buildings;
(iii) the reason for the lack of interest towards producing electricity using solar power; and
(iv) the reliefs granted by the Ceylon Electricity Board to its consumers who generate electricity using solar power and add it to the national grid?
(b) If not, why?
