Hon. Ajith Mannapperuma,—To ask the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of generators at the Norochcholai Coal Thermal Power Plant;
(ii) separately, the year in which each of these generators started generating electricity ;
(iii) the total amount of money incurred by the Government of Sri Lanka on the said generators;
(iv) as to how the funds were secured for this project?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) as to how the loan obtained for the construction of the Norochcholai Power Plant is repaid;
(ii) whether the loan is repaid by the Ceylon Electricity Board or by the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka; and
(iii) the aggregate of the instalments paid per year in US dollar millions?
(c) If not, why?
