Hon. Ajith Mannapperuma,—To ask the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy,—
(a) Will he inform this house whether the Ceylon Electricity Board intends to construct a coal fired power plant in Sampur?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) the reason for the delay in constructing the power plant;
(ii) the total amount of money expected to be spent for this purpose;
(iii) the amount of electricity expected to be generated from it in megawatts; and
(iv) the year in which the construction of the power plant is expected to be completed?
(c) If not, why?
