Hon. (Prof.) Ashu Marasinghe,— To ask the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the amount of money invested by the government on peaceful inputs of nuclear power in each year from 2005 up to date, separately;
(ii) whether he is aware that the research conducted on the use of nuclear power in Sri Lanka in relation to fields such as environment, industries, health and agriculture are at a minimal level;
(iii) the amount, the government expects to invest on research on peaceful inputs of nuclear power in future; and
(iv) the fields in which nuclear power is used in Sri Lanka at present?
(b) If not, why?
