Hon. Gamini Jayawickrama Perera,— To ask the Minister of Higher Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) separately of the number of students who enrolled themselves in foreign universities from year 2006 to 2009 on the basis of each foreign country ;
(ii) the fields of study for which they have been enrolled ;
(iii) of the amount of foreign exchange spent for these students ; and
(iv) whether an alternative programme will be introduced locally to stop such a large amount of money being spent?
(b) If not, why?
