Hon. Chaminda Wijesiri,— To ask the Minister of Higher Education and Highways,—
(a) Will he inform this House, after the appointment of the present Chief Minister of the Uva Province—
(i) whether the roads belonging to the provincial council within the district of Badulla have been hitherto developed ;
(ii) if so, what the aforesaid roads are;
(iii) of the amount of money allocated for each road;
(iv) separately of the companies to which the aforesaid road development contracts have been awarded to;
(v) of the factors assuring that the standard of the said roads are at a higher level; and
(vi) whether it is admitted that the Chief Minister of the Uva Province has intervened with regard to the selection and the development of the aforesaid roads?
(b) If not, why?
