Hon. (Dr.) Nalinda Jayathissa,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether Mr. Chandana Pelpita serves as a working director at the Ceylong Fertilizers Limited;
(ii) if so, what his salary, allowances and the monthly rental for the vehicles assigned to him are;
(iii) whether the Presidential Commission of Inquiry had sent a letter dated 6th November 2015 to the Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture with regard to Petition No. PCI/52/2015;
(iv) what acts of serious financial fraud had been committed by Mr. Chandana Pelpita during his engagement as Deputy General Manager at the Ceylon Fishery Harbours Corporation according to the letter concerned;
(v) what recommendations were made by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry with regard to the acts of fraud concerned;
(vi) the date on which such recommendations were implemented; and
(vii) the reasons why if the recommendations by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry have not been implemented?
(b) If not, why?
