Hon. (Mrs.) Shanthi Sriskandarasa,— To ask the Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) separately of the number of families that obtain Samurdhi allowance in the districts of Mullaitivu, Vavuniya and Mannar;
(ii) separately of the number of families who are below the poverty line in the above districts; and
(iii) whether action will be taken to provide the Samurdhi allowance to those who do not receive it, in spite of the fact that they are below the poverty line and entitled to obtain the Samurdhi allowance?
(b) If not, why?
