Hon. Buddhika Pathirana—To ask the Minister of Public Enterprise Development—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) fees charged for the safe deposit box service provided by the state and private banks have been increased; and
(ii) the customers have been inconvenienced as a result?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the reasons for increasing the fees charged for safe deposit boxes;
(ii) whether additional privileges will be provided to the customers;
(iii) if so, what those privileges are; and
(iv) whether action will be taken to reduce the fees charged for this service?
(c) If not, why?
