Hon. T. Ranjith De Zoysa,— To ask the Minister of Higher Education and Highways,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether the work of the Project for the expansion and development of Rakwana-Madampe Road belonging to the Godakawela Divisional Secretariat Division has been completed;
(ii) if not, of the period of time that has lapsed since the commencement of the project work; and
(iii) of the number of persons who only lost their lands and who lost their houses separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House –
(i) of the amount of money allocated for compensating those who lost their lands and houses owing to the development of the aforesaid road;
(ii) whether he is aware that the compensation to be provided for them has not hitherto been provided;
(iii) if so, whether action will be taken to compensate them expeditiously; and
(iv) of the period of time that will be taken for that purpose?
(c) If not, why?
