Hon. Bimal Rathnayake,— To ask the Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House of the number of suicides and attempted suicides that occurred in Sri Lanka in the years 2013, 2014 and 2015, separately for each year?
(b) Will he also inform this House of the number of suicides and attempted suicides that occurred in Sri Lanka in the years 2013, 2014 and 2015 separately—
(i) as per gender;
(ii) as per age groups; and
(iii) as per district?
(c) Will he further inform this House of —
(i) the 25 Divisional Secretariat Divisions from which the highest number of suicides and attempted suicides were reported in the years 2013,2014 and 2015; and
(ii) the public institution that records accurate data and information on suicides and attempted suicides?
(d) If not, why?
