Hon. Imran Maharoof,— To ask the Minister of Prisons Reforms, Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Hindu Religious Affairs,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) Muslims lived in Kinniya in Trincomalee district since ancient times; and
(ii) the Muslims who were displaced by the terrorist activities in the area have not been resettled in that village so far?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of Muslim families in Kinniya that was displaced by terrorist activities and the number of members of those families; and
(ii) whether arrangements will be made to resettle those people in that area as soon as possible?
(c) If not, why?
