Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) the date on which the incumbent Commissioner of Elections will retire ;
(ii) his present salary ; and
(iii) the measures that will be taken regarding the violation of his human rights caused by employing the Commissioner of Elections, who has passed his age of retirement, further in the service?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether necessary steps will be taken to establish the Election Commission under the Seventeenth Amendment to the Constitution ;
(ii) if so, the date on which such steps will be taken ?
(c) If not, why?
