0303/’10 Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara,— To ask the Minister of Health,— Will he state — the estimated amount allocated to the Ministry of Health for the purpose of purchasing drugs in years 2008 and 2009; out of the aforesaid amount the actual amount received by the Ministry for the above mentioned years; and the names of the members of the Committee that appointed for the purpose of purchasing drugs in each of the aforesaid years ? Will he admit that the reason for the shortage of drugs that occurred recently was the inadequacy of the money allocated for that purpose? If not, why?
