Hon. Imran Maharoof,— To ask the Minister of Justice,—
(a) Is he aware that,—
(i) a Circuit Court was functional in Kinniya in 1980s and that it has been closed down owing to terrorist activities; and
(ii) eventhough the Kuchchaweli Circuit Court which was closed down owing to terrorist activities, was reopened during the last regime, the Kinniya Circuit Court was refused to be reopened?
(b) Will he inform this House whether steps will be taken to reopen the Kinniya Circuit Court under the good governance government?
(c) If not, why?
