Hon. Hesha Withanage,— To ask the Minister of Sports,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the amount of money spent on the construction of the Sooriyawewa Cricket Stadium;
(ii) of the manner in which the aforesaid funds were sourced; and
(iii) of the date on which the construction work of the aforesaid stadium was completed?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) separately, of the number of international one-day, test and twenty-twenty matches that have been held at the aforesaid stadium by now; and
(ii) whether plans have been formulated to hold matches in the ensuing year?
(c) Will he further inform this House —
(i) whether the aforesaid stadium is rented out to hold wedding ceremonies;
(ii) if so, of the amount of money charged per day for such purposes; and
(iii) of the future action that will be taken regarding the matter mentioned in (i) above?
(d) If not, why?
