Hon. S. M. Marikkar,— To ask the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development,—
(a) Is he aware that many byroads in Kolonnawa area are inundated during rainy season and that the day to day life of people is crippled as a result?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) the byroads and areas so inundated in the Kolonnawa electorate;
(ii) whether a programme has been prepared to offer solutions to this problem and uplift public life;
(iii) whether there is a programme to clean the canals in the area for proper drainage of water;
(iv) if so, the date on which that programme will come into effect?
(c) If not, why?
