Hon. S. M. Marikkar,— To ask the Minister of Post, Postal Services and Muslim Religious Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether the Ministry has a programme to develop mosques;
(ii) if so, what that programme is; and
(iii) the method of allocating money for mosques?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) the number of teachers in Muslim religious schools in Sri Lanka;
(ii) the allowance paid for a religious school teacher;
(iii) whether that amount is sufficient;
(iv) if not, whether action will be taken to increase it; and
(v) if so, the date on which it will be done?
(c) If not, why?
