Hon. Udaya Prabhath Gammanpila,— To ask the Minister of Petroleum Resources Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that the former Minister of Power and Energy announced on 16 January 2015 that a price formula that will adjust prices in the local market in accordance with price fluctuations in the world market will be introduced;
(ii) of the reasons for not introducing such a price formula up to now; and
(iii) whether action will be taken to introduce such a price formula in future?
(b) If not, why?
