Hon. Bimal Rathnayake,— To ask the Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House in terms of the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, separately—
(i) as per each year, of the number of complaints on child abuses, received by the police;
(ii) as per each year, of the number of child abuse cases pending in the courts; and
(iii) as per each year, of the number of cases with the Attorney General’s Department, for which indictments have not been issued, though the Police ‘B’ reports on child abuses have been submitted?
(b) If not, why?
