Hon. Mahindananda Aluthgamage,— To ask the Minister of Sports,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) car park ‘D’ which brought in a monthly revenue of over Rs. 1.5 million to the Sugathadasa National Sports Complex Authority was privately leased out at a lower value on a date close to 30.01.2015 to a person who had not submitted a tender;
(ii) the aforesaid person has not paid any money to the Authority so far?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether action will be taken to look into this irregular transaction and acquire the aforesaid car park once more; and
(ii) if the aforesaid car park has been leased out disregarding tender procedures, whether disciplinary action will be taken against persons who are responsible for that act?
(c) If not, why?
