Hon. Sunil Handunnetti,— To ask the Minister of Public Enterprise Development,—
(a) Is he aware that after the preceding Presidential Election, a former minister who obtained a defender vehicle, from Janatha Estate Development Board bearing the registered number GB-2865, for three months’ short term use, had used it for 06 years illegally with another former minister and had dumped only the chassis, in the State Entrepreneurship Development Ministry premises which brought on a recovery vehicle, without informing anyone, removing 4 wheels and many other parts?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) the name of the Minister in whose name the defender, bearing the registered number GB-2865 had been officially released by the Ministry of Plantation Industries;
(ii) of the period of illegal use;
(iii) of the measures that had been taken in the institutional level;
(iv) of the loss incurred due to the removal of the parts of aforesaid vehicle;
(v) of the measures that had been taken by the Janatha Estate Development Board to recover the loss;
(vi) of the current progress of the investigations of Criminal Investigation Department, on the criminal misuse of public property; and
(vii) of the measures taken in this regard, in the capacity of the Subject Minister?
(c) If not, why?

(අ) ඔව්.
(ආ) (i) GB - 2865 අංක දරන ඩිෆෙන්ඩර් රථය නිල වශයෙන් අමාත්යවරයෙකුට නිදහස් කර නොතිබුණි.
(ii) එම රථය 2011 සිට 2015 දක්වා වසර 04ක කාලයක් අනවසරයෙන් භාවිත කර තිබුණි.
(iii) ආයතනය දැනුවත් වී තිබුණද, කිසිදු පියවරක් ගෙන නොතිබුණි.
(iv) දළ වශයෙන් ලක්ෂ 30ක් පමණ වේ.
(v) 2015.03.09 දින අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවෙහි පැමිණිල්ලක් ගොනු කොට ඇත.
(vi) අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් මෙම රථයට සිදු වී ඇති නිත්ය අලාභය කවරේද යන්න 2016.01.05 දිනැති ලිපිය මඟින් වාර්තා කරන ලෙස දන්වා ඇත.
(vii) අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ විමර්ශන කටයුතු අවසන් වීමෙන් පසුව අවශ්ය ඉදිරි ක්රියා මාර්ග ගනු ලැබේ.
(ඇ) අදාළ නොවේ.
