Hon. Dullas Alahapperuma,— To ask the Minister of Housing and Construction,—
(a) Is he aware that a special project by the name of “Palam Dahasa” (Thousand Bridges) was initiated by the Ministry of Economic Development of the former government?
(b) Will he table—
(i) the date on which this project was initiated;
(ii) separately the 1000 bridges that had been selected as per each Pradeshiya Shaba;
(iii) the methodology according to which the relevant thousand bridges had been selected and the relevant date and the year separately?
(c) Will he inform this House —
(i) the total amount of money estimated as required for the above project;
(ii) the local and foreign financial institutions from which the particular money is obtained; and
(iii) the interest rates relevant to the above borrowings?
(d) Will he also table—
(i) the construction companies that were entrusted with the responsibility of constructing these thousand bridges; and
(ii) separately the dates on which the agreements of construction had been signed with the relevant companies or institutions and the dates of completion of construction work as stipulated by the relevant agreements?
(e) If not, why?

පාලම් දහස (1000) යනුවෙන් හඳුන්වනු ලබන්නේ ඉහත II හා III අදියර වේ.
(ii) ඉහත පාලම් 1210 අතරින් දැනට තෝරා ගෙන ඇති පාලම් ප්රමාණය 692ක් වන අතර, ඒවායේ ව්යාප්තිය ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාස අනුව ඇමුණුම 1* මඟින් දක්වා ඇත.
(iii) ජනාධිපති ලේකම්ගේ CSA /1/22/1/1 දරන 2015.11.13 දිනැති ලිපිය මඟින් ග්රාමීය පාලම් ව්යාපෘතියේ III වන අදියර මෙම අමාත්යාංශයට පැවරීමෙන් අනතුරුව මේ දක්වා ඉදිකිරීමට හඳුනා ගෙන නොමැති පාලම් 284ක් සඳහා යෝග්ය ස්ථාන හඳුනා ගැනීම මෙම අමාත්යාංශය යටතේ සිදු කෙරේ.
එහිදී සියලුම ගරු පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රීවරුන් ලිපියක් මඟින් දැනුවත් කොට, එතුමන්ලාගෙන් ලබා ගන්නා පාලම් යෝජනා ඒ ඒ දිස්ත්රික්කයන්හි දිසාපතිවරුන් හරහා ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම්වරුන්ගේත්, ග්රාම නිලධාරින්ගේත් නිරීක්ෂණ ඇතුළත්ව, ප්රමුඛතා ගත කර මෙම අමාත්යාංශය වෙත ගෙන්වා ගැනීමෙන් පසුව, පාලම් අවශ්යතාව හා බෙදී යාමේ සාධාරණත්වය අනුව කටයුතු කිරීමට පියවර ගෙන ඇත.
(ඇ) (i), (ii), (iii) සඳහා පිළිතුර: උක්ත ව්යාපෘතිය සඳහා අදාළ ඇස්තමේන්තුව, මුදල් ලබා ගන්නා විදේශීය මුල්ය ආයතන සහ ඒ සම්බන්ධයෙන් වන පොලී අනුපාත අදියර අනුව පහත වගුව පරිදි වේ. දේශීය මුල්ය ආයතනවලින් මුදල් ලබාගෙන නොමැත
