Hon. M. H. M. Salman,— To ask the Minister of Post, Postal Services and Muslim Religious Affairs,—
(a) Will he state —
(i) the date on which legal trustees were appointed to “Oddamawadi Mohideen Jumma Mosque” in Batticaloa, which is registered in the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs (Waqf Section) under the registration No. R/768/BT/65, along with the date on which the aforesaid appointment period ended; and
(ii) whether action will be taken to appoint a new Board of Trustees to the aforesaid mosque to which legal trustees have not been appointed for a long period of time, due to the fact that a situation arisen, in which the administrative activities of the aforesaid mosque cannot be carried out in a systematic manner ?
(b) If not , why ?
