0207/2015: Permanent Home for Ms. Najeerdeen from Kandy

Hon. M. H. M. Salman,— To ask the  Minister of Megapolis and Western Development,—

(a) Is he aware that —

(i) the house at No.14/3 Kappitipola Mawatha, Kandy, which belonged to Mr. K.S Najeerdeen and the members of his family who were  residing then, was demolished and removed from that place for the  second phase construction work of the bus stand; and

(ii) eventhough Mr. Najeerdeen and the members of his family were  allowed to reside temporarily at No. 2, Line houses in Gam Uda premises in Pallekelle, a permanent house has not yet been provided to them by the Urban Development Authority?

(b) Will he state whether action will be taken to provide a house in Kandy City to reside as has been promised by the letter of the Deputy Director (Central Province) of the Urban Development Authority, dated 12/11/1997 bearing the No. 5/සීපී/8/5/11, to the widow of Mr. Najeerdeen who is residing at No. 402, Ralimangoda, Delthota with her  children?

(c) If not, why?
