Hon. M. H. M. Salman,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Is he aware that —
(i) Mr. A.M. Sahabdeen residing at No. 21, Bangalagedara, Bazaar Street, Madawala has been serving as a labourer since 2006 in the Primary Section of the K/Madeena National School;
(ii) although relevant documents were sent from time to time to the Education Department of the Central Province to place him in the service on casual or temporary basis taking into account his commitment and the duration of his service, no step has been taken regarding it; and
(iii) the application dated 18.11.2014 has been forwarded last with the recommendations of the Principal and the Zonal Director of Education?
(b) Will he inform this House whether he will take steps to grant a labourer appointment to Mr. Sahabdeen on casual or temporary basis?
(c) If not, why?
