Hon. Dullas Alahapperuma,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) according to the decision of the Committee on Public Petitions dated 29.03.2011 the Department of Education of the Southern Province had conducted formal interviews to recruit unemployed trained teachers to government schools and submitted 06 lists of names to the line Ministry on 03.05.2011; and
(ii) the line Ministry has given the approval for the recruitment of persons only on 04 lists out of the 06 lists of names submitted?
(b) Will he inform this House of the date on which the persons on the other 02 lists of names will be recruited as teachers in government schools?
(c) If not, why?
