Hon. Rajiva Wijesinha,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs,—
(a) Is he aware of an organization called the “International Crisis Group” ?
(b) Will he inform —
(i) whether this organisation has its representatives at present or had then in Sri Lanka during the last ten years ?
(ii) the provisions under which it functioned in Sri Lanka; and
(iii) as to how the visas were provided for its international functionaries?
(c) Will he state —
(i) the names of the Sri Lankans, employed by the organisation in Sri Lanka ;
(ii) the academic or other qualifications they possess; and
(iii) the amount paid to each of them by ICG and the basis of payments?
(d) Will he state —
(i) whether this organization or any of its employees is liable for tax in Sri Lanka; and
(ii) If so, whether they have met their liabilities?
(e) If not, why?
