Hon. Rajiva Wijesinha,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the complaints that have been registered with the National Commission for Human Rights with regard to recruitment to academic positions in Colleges of Education and other teacher training institutions;
(ii) the rulings received from the Human Rights Commission with regard to such complaints; and
(iii) whether the above rulings have been complied with ?
(b) Will he state —
(i) the anomalies existed with regard to age requirements in advertisements for such positions?
(ii) whether he will take steps to ensure compliance with Human Rights Commission rulings in this regard, and to correct anomalies if any with regard to the requirement recruitments?
(c) If not, why?
