Hon. M. H. M. Salman,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Is he aware that —
(i) applications were called for recruiting teacher assistants on school based to Tamil medium estate schools and Mrs. F. Ruzana Mafoor residing at No.25/2, Viyangalle, Agalawatte submitted an application;
(ii) consequently, she appeared for the relevant interview under calling No. 199 (B) on 02.03.2015; and
(iii) although vacancies did exist for the post in estate schools in the area in which she lives, Mrs. Ruzana Mafoor has not been given a teacher assistant appointment so far?
(b) Will he inform this House whether steps will be taken to give her the appointment as a teacher assistant without delay?
(c) If not why?
