0045/2015: HAMBANTOTA REST HOUSE: TRANSFER TO PRIVATE SECTOR

Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development,—

(a) Is he aware that—

(i) Hambanthota Rest House which was under the purview of Urban Development Authority has been transferred to private sector;

(ii) the employees who were employed there have been attached to the Head Office of the Urban Development Authority; and

(iii) this process causes a financial loss for the Urban Development Authority?

(b) Will he inform this House—

(i) whether measures will be taken to take back this Rest House to the Urban Development Authority; and

(ii) if so, of aforesaid date?

(අ) (i) නාගරික සංවර්ධන අධිකාරිය විසින් පෞද්ගලික අංශයට ලබා දී නොමැත. හම්බන්තොට නගර සභාව විසින් පෞද්ගලික අංශයට පවරා දී ඇත.

(ii) ඔව්. එහි සේවය කළ සේවකයින් 11දෙනෙකු නැවත නාගරික සංවර්ධන අධිකාරියේ ප්‍රධාන හා උප කාර්යාලයන්ට අනුයුක්ත කර ඇත.

(iii) හම්බන්තොට තානායම නාගරික සංවර්ධන අධිකාරියේ සෘජු පාලනයට ලබාගත් පසු 2000 සිට මේ දක්වා රුපියල් මිලියන 41.7ක පාඩුවක් සිදු වී ඇත. ඊට අමතරව නැවත නගර සභාවට පවරා දීම නිසා සියයට 35ක කුලී ආදායම අහිමි වී ඇත.

(ආ) (i) සම්පූර්ණ ක්‍රියාවලිය පිළිබඳව නීති උපදෙස් පතා ඇත.

(ii) මේ වන තෙක් දිනයක් දන්වා නොමැත. ඒ නීති උපදෙස් ලැබීමෙන් අනතුරුව දින වකවානු ප්‍රකාශ කළ හැක.

(ඇ) අදාළ නොවේ.
