Hon. Sunil Handunnetti,— To ask the Minister of Finance—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether a proposal was made through the budget proposals presented by the previous government in November 2014, to provide a Rs.2500/= monthly allowance to pre-school teachers;
(ii) whether a proposal was made through the interim budget - 2015 presented by the Minister of Finance of the present government, to provide a Rs.250/= monthly allowance to pre-school teachers; and
(iii) whether both of the said proposals are being implemented or only one proposal is being implemented by now?
(b) If not, why?
