Hon Ajith Mannapperuma,— To ask the Minister of Power and Energy,—

(a) Will he state—

(i) the number of electricity generators at the Kukuleganga Power Plant; and

(ii) the electricity generating capacity of each power plant?

(b) Will he inform this House—

(i) whether all electricity generators mentioned above functioned throughout 2013;

(ii) if not the number of electricity generators that defunct;

(iii) of the period for which each of those generators were defunct separately;

(iv) of the reasons for those electricity generators to fail; and

(v) of the measures taken to ensure that the machines of that power plant will not fail in future?

(iv) ජනක යන්ත්‍ර නො. 02හි භ්‍රමණය වන කොටසට පෑස්සුම් කර සවි කර තිබූ ලෝහ කැබැල්ලක් ජනක යන්ත්‍රය ක්‍රියාත්මක වෙමින් තිබියදී ගැලවී වීසි වීමෙන් ජනක යන්ත්‍රයේ අභ්‍යන්තර කොටස්වලට දැඩි ලෙස අලාභ හානි වීම.

(v) මෙම අනතුරට පෙර සිටම කරගෙන ආ පරිදි නඩත්තු කටයුතු සිදු කරමින් පවතින අතර, මෙම අනතුර ජනක යන්ත්‍ර නිෂ්පාදන ක්‍රියාවලියේදී සිදු වූ අඩු පාඩුවක් මත සිදු වී ඇති බව පරීක්ෂණවලදී අනාවරණ විය. යන්ත්‍රය නිෂ්පාදනය කළ සමාගමෙහි උපදේශකයන්ගේ අධීක්ෂණය මත පූර්ණ අලුත්වැඩියාවක් දැනට සිදු කෙරෙමින් පවතී.
