Hon. Arundika Fernando,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs,—
(a) Will he admit that an amount of Rs.2018331.00 was in arrears to be paid to Sri Lanka Telecom by 2002, for foreign calls taken from Army headquarters in Jaffna?
(b) Is he aware that Sri Lanka Telecom took legal action regarding the non-settlement of these bills?
(c) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether action has been taken by now to settle that amount;
(ii) if so, the fund out of which settlement was done; and
(iii) the name of the person who granted approval for that?
(d) If not, why?
