Hon. Niroshan Perera,— To ask the Minister of Highways, Ports and Shipping,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) the length of the road from Thopputhota to Mahawewa via Dankotuwa-Naththandiya, in Wennappuwa electorate in the Puttlam District;
(ii) the total amount estimated for construction and restoration of that road;
(iii) the company which carries out the construction of that road; and
(iv) whether proper tender procedure has been followed in awarding the contract to that company?
(b) Will he inform this House of —
(i) the date on which construction of the said road commenced; and
(ii) the date by which construction of the said road is scheduled to be completed?
(c) If not, why?
