Hon.   (Al-Haj)  A. H. M. Azwer,— To ask the Minster of Livestock and Rural Community Development,—

(a) Is he aware that there is no Veterinary Surgeon to provide medical services to the cattle reared in about 56 estates in the Maskeliya area?

(b) Will he state whether action will be taken to appoint a permanent Veterinary Surgeon and an Assistant Veterinary Surgeon to the Maskeliya Veterinary Surgeon’s Office?

(c) If not, why?

(b)        A permanent veterinary surgeon has been appointed to the Maskeliya Veterinary Range and all veterinary services, related to livestock farming in Maskeliya Veterinary Range, are being provided without interruption up to now.
