Hon. B. Ariyawansha,— To ask the Minister of Environment,— (2)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) date on which the Sinharaja Forest was declared a World Heritage Site;
(ii) extent of land area belonging to this forest; and
(iii) measures that have been currently implemented, as well as those that will be implemented in the future, separately to conserve both the internal and external ecosystems of the Sinharaja Forest, which contributes immensely to the sustainability of the ecosystem in Sri Lanka?
(b) If not, why?
