Hon. Chanaka Madugoda,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) criteria used to measure the production and productivity of field crops other than paddy;
(ii) provision that was allocated in the budget for the year 2025 for increasing the production of grains and yams;
(iii) specific grains and yams for which the production is expected to increase with these provisions; and
(iv) expected production quantities for each of the above grain and yam variety in 2025, 2026 and 2027, compared to the year 2024, separately?
(b) If not, why?
