Hon. Ajith P. Perera,— To ask the Minister of Energy,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number employees of the Ceylon Electricity Board who have requested for voluntary retirement as part of the restructuring process of the Ceylon Electricity Board in terms of the provisions of the Sri Lanka Electricity Act, No. 36 of 2024 read with the Sri Lanka Electricity (Amendment) Act, No. 14 of 2025, separately for each post;
(ii) if voluntary retirement has not been applied for, of the reasons for that;
(iii) of the sum allocated to compensate the employees who are to retire voluntarily; and
(iv) of the proposed sources from which the said funds will be raised?
(b) If not, why?
