Hon. Manjula Suraweera Arachchi,— To ask the Minister of Energy,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the year on which the construction of the Broadland Hydroelectric Power Plant was commenced;
(ii) whether the construction of the said Hydroelectric Power Plant has been completed by now; and
(iii) if not, of the reasons for it?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) of the number of persons to be given compensations due to the construction of the said power plant;
(ii) out of them, of the number of persons to whom the total compensation has been paid by now and the amount of compensation paid to each of them separately;
(iii) of the remaining number of persons who are to be given compensations;
(iv) of the names of each such person and the amount of compensation to be paid separately for each; and
(v) of the date by which the compensation payments to individuals will be completed?
(c) If not, why?
