Hon. (Prof.) Sena Nanayakkara,— To ask the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) number of pensioners in Sri Lanka at present; and
(ii) amount allocated for the payment of pensions from the year 2020 to date separately for each year?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) whether he accepts that when considered as a family unit, the pension of a pensioner is considered a shared benefit rather than an individual benefit; and
(ii) accordingly, of the procedure followed in relation to the pension of a pensioner after his/her death?
(c) If not, why?
