Hon. Upul Kithsiri,—To ask the Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of —
(i) the period during which the historic Maduwanwela Walawwa was constructed;
(ii) its historical value;
(iii) the date on which the Maduwanwela Walawwa was officially taken over by the Department of Archaeology;
(iv) the owner of it at the time of the said takeover;
(v) the extent of land that was taken over; and
(vi) the assessed value that was paid for it?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) of the date and the number of the first Gazette issued regarding the takeover of Maduwanwela Walawwa by the Department of Archaeology;
(ii) whether a second Gazette has been issued amending the aforementioned first Gazette;
(iii) if so, of the number and date of the said Gazette;
(iv) of the extent of land that has been taken over under the second Gazette;
(v) of the extent of land that has been excluded under that particular Gazette; and
(vi) whether a proper investigation is being conducted regarding this?
(c) If not, why?
