Hon. Lieutenant Commander (Rtd.) Prageeth Madhuranga,— To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways and Urban Development,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware that a project to renovate the railway platform and buildings at the Enderamulla sub-station on the Colombo-Rambukkana main railway line was carried out in 2018;
(ii) of the total amount of money spent on that project;
(iii) whether a proper procurement procedure has been followed there;
(iv) of the name of the contractor involved in that project;
(v) of the names of the institutions that has provided technical support and supervision for that project;
(vi) whether the development of the third platform, which is currently in a dangerous condition, and the renovation of the dilapidated main building were included in the above-mentioned project; and
(vii) whether the objective of the above-mentioned project has been achieved?
(b) If not, why?
