Hon. Lal Premanath,— To ask the Minister of Energy,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether there is a land owned by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation at Junction 51, Deniyaya, on the Galle-Madampe main road, towards Ratnapura, in the Kotapola Divisional Secretariat Division of the Matara District;
(ii) if so, of the current condition of it and the purpose for which the said land is currently used;
(iii) whether he is aware that a filling station was previously established on the said land and that it has now been closed;
(iv) of the reasons for the closure of the said filling station;
(v) whether the necessary steps have been initiated to construct a new filling station on the said land; and
(vi) whether steps will be taken to promptly construct the said filling station?
(c) If not, why?
