Hon. K. Kader Masthan,— To ask the Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development,— (1)
(a) Is he aware that —
(i) there is an industrial park registered under No. 1458 in the Poonthottam area of Vavuniya; and
(ii) some plots of land of it are in a derelict condition?
(b) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the total number of plots of land in the said industrial park;
(ii) of the number of plots of land that have been granted to entrepreneurs and the number that remain unallocated, separately out of the plots of lands referred to above;
(iii) whether the lands that have been granted to entrepreneurs so far are being utilized for their intended purposes;
(iv) whether the plots of land that remain unutilized, despite being granted to entrepreneurs, can be granted to other entrepreneurs;
(v) if so, of the number of plots of land that can be granted as such;
(vi) of the last development programme implemented by the said industrial park using its own funds; and
(vii) whether the said industrial park is operating at maximum capacity?
(c) If not, why?
