Hon. Chandana Sooriyaarachchi,— To ask the Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that there is a museum belonging to the Department of Archaeology, located near the Avissawella town;
(ii) of the date it was built;
(iii) of the total amount spent on it;
(iv) of the number of employees working there, separately by each position;
(v) whether the land on which the museum was built is a state-owned land; and
(vi) if so, of the details in that regard?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) of the number of artefacts owned by the aforesaid museum;
(ii) of the time periods to which the aforesaid artefacts belong;
(iii) whether aforesaid museum generates income; and
(iv) if so, of the income generated from the date it was opened to date, separately for each year ?
(c) If not, why ?
