Hon. Sudath Balagalla,—To ask the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government,— (1)
(a) Will he state —
(i) whether he is aware that the weekly fair, which had been under the administration of the Mahiyanganaya Pradeshiya Sabha, has been removed and a shopping complex has been constructed at that location;
(ii) the reasons that led to the construction of that shopping complex;
(iii) the basis on which the stalls in the said shopping complex have been distributed;
(iv) the names of the persons who have obtained stalls, the number of stalls obtained by each of them, and the monthly rent paid to the Pradeshiya Sabha, separately; and
(v) the date on which the full ownership of the said shopping complex will come to the relevant Pradeshiya Sabha as per the agreement entered into with the persons who obtained the stalls?
(b) If not, why?
